GD+ Diesel Replacement Fuel

Waving goodbye to smell and smoke

Responding to the demands for fossil fuel alternatives, GD+ provides a true EN15940 drop-in with no modifications required to engines and with approvals from all the major engine manufacturers and TfL.

GD+ is an enhanced Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) drop-in diesel replacement fuel that substantially reduces harmful exhaust emissions. The chemical composition is comparible to fossil fuel, which means that it behaves just like conventional diesel, but it is composed entirely of linear and branched paraffins with no aromaticity, no saturation and no sulphur compounds. It is proven to chemically reduce NOx to N2 in the exhaust gas, whilst oxidising incomplete combustions products - hydrocarbons, particulate matter and carbon monoxide.

HVO is a sustainable fuel which is good for the environment and good for the engine. It burns cleaner than diesel or FAME biodiesel (fatty acid methyl ether) and it complies with EN15940. Unlike biodiesel, it does not deteriorate over time and can be used in temperature extremes. It doesn't clog or rot rubber components and added detergents ensure the fuel system, pump and injectors are kept spotlessly clean.

GD+ is currently in use in the UK in both road transport and NRMM markets, and marine and back-up power applications where it is making significant contribution towards meeting the requirements of the new MCPD directive.

Delivers at least the same performance as regular diesel but cuts greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90%

Distributed in the same way as regular diesel, using the same tanks and pumps

Copes with low temperatures (-42°C) and is stored in the same way as regular diesel

Lasts longer in the tank and gives better fuel  stability than red diesel (gas oil)

Price competitive with regular diesel thanks to government subsidies

This picture shows how clean HVO burns on the left, in comparision with the filth created by diesel on the right.
